I offer individual and couples therapy to those from marginalized communities and complex identities.
I specialize in working with AAPI, BIPOC, LGBTQIA2S+, Kinky, and Polyamorous individuals; to listen to your stories and help you dismantle unhealthy internal beliefs that have been engrained throughout your life and beyond. I enjoy supporting clients in healing and making meaningful changes in their lives in order to work towards self-love, self-confidence, and authenticity. |
Is Therapy For Me?
Humans are adaptive creatures that strive to survive.
When we get overwhelmed by all the different aspects of our lives, societal pressure and injustice, demands of capitalism, systems of oppression, personal obligations and the weight of living inauthentically, we find ways to cope.
While this is inherently a good thing, when we are constantly in survival mode, trying to make that next payment, trying to hit the next professional goal, trying to make ends meet, trying to live up to the expectations of others, and more, we can find ourselves engaging in self-destructive patterns of behavior that do not make us happy or align with our values.
Through we are often taught through the media, our cultures, and family of origins that therapy is only for those who "cannot function", this is untrue.
Therapy is for anyone who seeks to look inward and process emotions and past trauma, unlearn unhelpful ways of thinking, challenge negative messages, and so much more in efforts to help themselves.
If you are at a point in your life where you would want and/or need to dive deep and embark on an internal journey to heal and make positive changes, please reach out.
